Initial Consultation
The Initial Consultation is a chance for you talk about what has prompted you to seek out Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and, what you’d like to achieve from our sessions together.
Following this, I will gather a few basic details around your symptoms. I will then provide an explanation of how the mind works and why you are feeling the way you do. We’ll also cover what hypnosis is. How it is a natural state we all pass in and out of many times a day, how it works, and why your commitment is crucial to the process.
Should you wish to go ahead and book, we will discuss an approximate number of sessions required and I will provide you with a recording to relax with at home.
This will take around 45 minutes and there will be ample time for you ask any questions that may arise.
Subsequent sessions
Subsequent sessions last between 50 minutes and 1 hour and are made up of a combination of positive psychology, neuroscience and hypnosis. The first half of the session is talking therapy. Being solution focused means that we will discuss the positive aspects of your week, the things that have made you smile. We will remind ourselves why we feel the way we do, identify our goals, and visualise taking achievable steps towards fulfilling them.
With your goals in sight, I will guide you through a lovely relaxation where you can create and visualise your positive future. This trance session will leave you feeling calm, relaxed and wonderfully refreshed.
Weekly sessions are recommended to get the best possible results however, I realise that this may not always be possible and will do everything I can to accommodate your needs.
